Faith of a Child.

I met for tea this morning with a young student named Christine. Personally, I think she has a fantastic name and a lovely personality to go with it. She shared with me this passage from a book she is reading – The Kingdom of Love and the Pride of Life by Edward John Carnell.

A child may be very weak; he may have little power and few possessions. But these shortcomings need not disturb him. As long as the child feels needed and wanted, he is too content with what he has to worry about what he lacks. Being loved in the present, he is not afraid of the future. He can yield himself to life with a sense of complete abandon.

Lord, may we have faith like a child to know Your love for us that we may live with thankful hearts for what we have and fearless spirits for what You have before us.
