We are the body of Christ. By His blood we have been cleansed and can come before the throne of God. We are blood related. We, as the body of Christ, are family.
This concept still blows my mind and the phrase, “We are blood related,” really hit home to me right before we shared Communion together at Urbana. 20,000 brothers and sisters sharing in the Lord’s super as we worshiped God through song in languages such as Spanish, Swahili, and English. What a way to usher in the New Year!
Here’s also a picture of our whole team at the booth!
Our last day here at Urbana, and we have had some more wonderful conversations with students. I love hearing what students are excited about and even more, I love hearing when a young person says – “I’m willing to go anywhere and do anything!” That’s a bold statement! Probably some of my favorite times at the booth were spent in prayer. Often, we asked students if we could pray with them. For me, this is so powerful and is probably the best thing we can do for them because we are going with them before the throne of God and asking for direction asking for wisdom and for His will to be done. What we do is not in the name of SEND but in the name of Jesus Christ.
